We believe in a world where everyone breathes clean air.

Launched at the UN Secretary General’s Climate Summit in 2019 and with more than $50m in unrestricted funds raised to date, the Clean Air Fund is a global philanthropic initiative that works to achieve clean air for all.

We make grants to reduce outdoor air pollution: to monitor the state of the air, to develop policies for clean energy and transport, to mobilise the public and to run campaigns. We are well-resourced and scaling fast; funded by a growing partnership of leading foundations with interests across health, climate, children and mobility. By bringing these and other organisations together, we hope to identify and create best practice, share learnings and connect people and ensure solutions are rapidly scaled up and replicated around the world.

We are now seeking a Strategic Partnerships and Communications Director, an exciting role for an ambitious and dynamic individual. Reporting into the Executive Director, they will be responsible for developing global strategic partnerships, positioning the Clean Air Fund as the clear, evidence-informed voice on air quality and ensuring that we are known globally as the hub for excellent quality information and contacts on the issue. As a re-granting organisation, we seek to promote the outputs and projects of our partners more than ourselves, to amplify the messages of partners and to connect people for greater impact.

The successful candidate will bring a track record of senior leadership gained in a similar, fast-paced and growing organisation. They will have experience in global stakeholder engagement and proven ability to identify, develop and leverage relationships for a strategic purpose. The ideal candidate will bring passion for and determination to achieve the vision of clean air for all. They will have a naturally collaborative approach, and the ability to build, lead and manage teams. Experience and knowledge of air pollution, public health, childhood development, or climate change is desirable.

Most importantly, we are seeking a self-starter, comfortable working at pace in a start-up environment with highly developed communication and influencing skills.

To apply or to download further information on the required qualifications, skills and experience for this exciting role, please visit https://candidates.perrettlaver.com/vacancies/ quoting reference 4803. The deadline for applications is Monday 5th October 2020.

The role is based in London. The salary is competitive and commensurate with the experience required. This is a full-time position, though for the right candidate could be considered at 0.8 FTE.

Longlisted candidates will be invited to first-round interview with Perrett Laver Consultants in October. Final interviews will be held in November, if appropriate and possible, in person in Central London.
