Media Lead – Brand
Ref: ML-B
Contract: 6 month FTC
Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: Circa £40,000 pa, depending on experience.
Normal place of work is their National Office, London SE1

The countryside is one of the nation’s most valued assets – it’s where many people feel most alive and plays a vital role in improving our mental and physical health, not to mention tackling the climate emergency. Our client, the countryside charity, wants to connect more people with the countryside to ensure that everyone can benefit. This role is an opportunity to play an important part in achieving that.

As media lead for brand, you will be responsible for developing and delivering consumer media strategies and plans, and generating coverage in press, online and broadcast that complements the charity's influencing work while also broadening their appeal and helping them reach a wider range of audiences. You will already have experience of developing and delivering media strategies, plans and generating large amounts of national coverage and will be happy in giving advice and direction to senior staff. They are looking for someone with a real passion and energy for generating quality consumer media coverage, helping tell the human stories that underpin their campaigning work. You’ll be willing and able to work across teams and with colleagues across the charitable network of local groups.

You will be part of the External Affairs team, reporting to the head of that team, but working closely with communications colleagues across the organisation. However, you will work particularly closely with the Media Lead – Campaigns, with whom you will be responsible for all the charity’s press coverage, covering each other’s work during any absence.

Closing date: Midday on Monday 26 October 2020
Interviews: Friday 30 October 2020
