Public Relations Director

MmmGood® is a fully functional web booking platform for hosts and guests. We intend to be the leading global digital platform for authentic home dining experience prepared by hosts around the world for guests & travellers from around the world, bringing people together to taste and discover different foods, traditions and cultures.

We are introducing MmmGood SA, a start-up aiming to establish ourselves as global digital online platform for H2H (human to human), to enhance an inclusive, collaborative, global economy and uplift authenticity. For this we seek a young-minded, healthy-life-style oriented DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC RELATIONS with an open-minded spirit cosmopolitan, who desires to be part of a grand social movement.

We have a window of opportunity to become the largest ‘authentic home-made’ dining explorer, marshalling the resources to pursue this online opportunity for our customers, offering a wide range of services related to authentic home- made cuisines from around the world, all receptive to a new mantra for human food relationships: ‘bringing people together, eating together, and discovering together’. As the competitive landscape continues to evolve rapidly, countless players have moved online with credible offerings, devoting substantial energy and resources to building awareness, traffic and sales. 

Our goal is to move steadily, to extend and cement our market position globally as we pursue this new authentic home-made online dining experience worldwide, offering opportunities in several value-driven areas. But this strategy is not without risk: it requires serious courage and crisp execution. 

We are looking for a Director of Public Relations with a digital mindset to design and implement our marketing & brand communication strategies that build and cultivate our relationships with media, engage our target audience and boost our brand awareness through traditional and digital channels across key identified regions globally. The DIRECTOR of PUBLIC RELATIONS will play a key role in crafting inspiring and engaging stories that is able to articulate our core purpose and bring out in full glory the innovation of new services and programming for our global community and business partners.

We are looking for a DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC RELATIONS supporting our communication activities for the transformation of our brand and increase our cultural relevance. RESPONSIBILITIES

You report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and play an active part in the creation of marketing & communication strategies in conjunction with the marketing team in order to enable the cultivation and enhancement of strong and meaningful relationships with the target audience, external partners, and key media outlets, which favourably positions the business/product in the market. 

You will be responsible to oversee the creation of all content and collaborate world-wide cross-functionally with all divisions, drafting external communications from a brand perspective, including speeches and presentations, as well as drafting responses for media requests.

  • Develop the “Voice” of the company brand and direct all Public Relations efforts for the company brand.
  • Be the digital “eyes and ears” of the brand and continue to build an overall reputation that is aligned with company branding guidelines and policies
  • Oversee the creation of content; for example, newsletter, blogs, social influencers, annual reports, and other marketing collateral materials
  • Maintain executive leadership communication calendars 
  • Actively engage, cultivate, and manage press relationships that ensure the coverage of the business’s/product’s programs, events, public announcements, among other projects
  • Key driver - initiating a global movement.
  • Creating and designing repurpose value and content management 
  • Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media Monitor, analyse and communicate PR results
  • Evaluate opportunities for partnership on an on-going basis
  • Build relationships with thought leadership to grow industry awareness
  • Maximize brand presence on various channels (e.g. web, TV and social media)
  • Organize PR events to increase awareness of our company

REQUIREMENTS 

  • Start-up experience
  • High affinity for cultural relevancy
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to pivot and change voice according to needs
  • Comfort with cultural change in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven experience in owning, executing, and delivering on short/long term projects
  • Proven working experience in public relations required
  • Proven track record designing and executing successful public relations campaigns at both national and global level
  • Strong relationships with both national and global media outlets
  • Experience in acting as a company spokesperson; comfortable and skilled in both broadcast and print media interviews
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills
  • Solid experience with social media including blogs, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
  • Event planning experience
  • BA/MA degree in Communications or a related discipline

WORK

Since we are a start-up phase you will be work remotely and connect with all other teams members and work closely with external strategic partners and meet occasionally and will unite at a later stage in our London office.
