This is an exciting time to join an organisation with an important role in the UK’s world-class higher education sector.

QAA is the UK’s independent quality body for higher education undertaking a diverse range of activity. We have a role in the enhancement and regulation of UK higher education, we provide services for our member universities and colleges, and we work internationally to strengthen the global reputation of UK higher education.

About the role

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic PR, Press and Communications Officer who shares our commitment to improving and promoting the UK’s world-class reputation for delivering a quality higher education experience for all students.

This role within our Governance, Policy and Communications department is responsible for the operation of QAA’s public relations, press office and social media work. The role supports the promotion of QAA’s membership services, commercial services and international activity.

About you

We are looking for someone who has experience within a similar role - developing and handling public relations and press work, responding quickly and appropriately to developing situations including liaison with, and briefing of, senior colleagues.

It is important that you have excellent verbal communication skills. Previous experience of working in the UK higher education sector would be an advantage but is not a requirement.

More information can be found in the job description.

To apply for this role, please submit your CV with a short covering letter setting out how you meet the person specification.

QAA values equality and diversity and recognises the benefits this brings. We welcome applications from all qualified people and are committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives and skills.

If you have not heard from QAA within three weeks of the closing date for this vacancy, then your application has not been successful. Please be aware that we are unable to provide feedback on individual job applications.
