Opportunity for an ambitious Account Director to learn directly from the MD and help run a growing business.
This B2B PR agency were based in the home counties until the beginning of 2020, when they moved to a completely remote model (this was planned for pre-pandemic!), meaning candidates from all over the UK are encouraged to apply. They're looking for an Account Director to be second in command to the MD and Founder, who comes from an excellent background – previously Director at leading London agencies, before setting up on her own 10 years ago.
The current team is small, but growing quickly, and the MD is now looking for an Account Director to take a lead on existing clients so that they can concentrate more ‘on’ the business (growing the business and strategic planning), rather than being involved day-to-day ‘in’ the business.
The Account Director will take a lead some of the agency's key clients (from a strategic and hands on perspective), and oversee a junior team, and work with the MD to help grow the agency. They have ambitious plans for the agency, so this Account Director needs to excited about the strategic and commercial side of PR, and motivated to grow their skill set quickly.
Key skills required for the Account Director
- Agency side PR experience at Senior Account Manager or Account Director level
- Experience working with B2B clients
- Experience leading client accounts and teams
- An interest in strategy, commercials and operations
- Ambition, motivation and entrepreneurial-spirit
In terms of salary, they’re paying up to £55k, depending on experience, you will be based from home (although there will be a hub for monthly team get togethers, when safe to do so).
