Are you an ambitious & politically engaged comms professional seeking a high growth in-house External Affairs Manager role blending press and public affairs strategies for an exciting fin-tech scale-up?    The client: Ambitious Fin-Tech Scale Up  This rapidly growing fintech has a mission to really democratise equity markets and use technology to flatten the investment landscape to offer retail investors the sort of access historically reserved for top global investors.  They are turning industry heads with an impressive roster of awards and nominations for their innovative approach.  They are seriously ambitious; having grown 6 fold to c.90 people in the last year and plan to double again before the close of 2021.  Their ambitions are very well funded with the last fund raise backed by some serious institutional investors and further commercial agreements with top pan European equity markets means this firm is one to watch.    The opportunity: External Affairs Manager   The Head of External Affairs has already set up an excellent network to ensure top level access in government and the media.  The team of c.6 covers press, policy, government relations, marketing and growth, with plans to double over the next year.  This role will report into the Head of External Affairs while partnering stakeholders across the business including marketing specialists, international development and the C-Suite.  This is a hands-on role, which will: 

Develop political engagement strategies to increase engagement with the Treasury, No 10, Westminster, City regulators and industry bodies to address the ever changing political landscape and financial policy.    Train stakeholders ahead of political meetings  Develop media strategies to ensure good share of voice in city and national press as well as fintech news and wider consumer finance media.    Support with content and thought leadership   Work on events in parliament as well as with stock exchanges.
