The successful candidate for this role will need to be a pro-active team player who is conscientious and hard-working who actively plays their part in continuing to make Falmouth University a great place to work.

It's a fast-paced environment, so we are looking for people who have the energy and agility needed to ensure we traverse an ever-changing HE landscape, as we execute our ambitious plans. Alongside these core qualities, you’ll be an outstanding writer, be confident when dealing with senior stakeholders and enjoy communicating complex ideas to different audiences, tackling everything from good news stories, to national policy issues and crisis communications.

We are looking to hear from candidates who have the following:

  • Previous experience of leading the development and implementation of media and/or strategic communications plans.
  • Experience of writing for, or successfully pitching stories to, national media outlets.
  • Ability to write about, and work on complex policy or research issues.
  • Exposure to crisis management.
