Publicity Director

Lead innovative and impactful media and events campaigns for this trailblazing imprint of Vintage - a division of Penguin Random House, the world’s leading trade publisher.

Working with notable and award-winning writers including Margaret Atwood, Anne Tyler, Nigella Lawson, Diana Evans, Richard Flanagan, Rose Tremain and Edmund de Waal, you will represent Chatto & Windus and its authors to a range of internal and external partners including literary agents, journalists, booksellers, and events organisers.  You will contribute to the imprint’s strategic priorities and work closely with its editorial team.

A talented and creative PR professional, with a background in the arts, creative or media industries, you will have experience of creating and delivering strategic media campaigns that connect and resonate with consumers.

You will be confident writing engaging press materials, liaising with journalists in the national media, and be adept at maintaining excellent relationships with high-profile and influential stakeholders. With responsibility for one direct report, you will also manage other publicists working on the imprint’s campaigns and be a role model for junior team members.

Part of the award-winning Vintage publicity team, the role reports to the Divisional Director of Publicity. Whilst we are currently working remotely, we expect this role to transition to our Embassy Gardens office in Vauxhall, London.

If this sounds like you, please apply with a CV and covering letter – telling us about the campaign you’ve been most proud to work on in your career, and the book you most enjoyed reading last year.  Closing date for applications is 1st March.

All interviews will be conducted over video call.
