Director of Public Affairs & Communications

Job Details

Campbell Tickell are pleased to be recruiting to the role of Director of Public Affairs and Communications at Scottish Federation of Housing Associations.

The Scottish Federation of Housing Associations is an important influencer across Scotland’s social housing landscape. We are an energetic organisation that has successfully transitioned into a virtual world where we have become more agile and flexible to ensure our offer remains ambitious, achievable, and relevant to our members.

In this ever-moving fast pace of change we are now seeking to recruit a new Director of Public Affairs & Communications that will report directly to the Chief Executive. You will be joining one existing Director and a new Director of Policy & Membership to make up the full complement of our executive team.

You will not only lead in your respective areas of specialism such as communications, but as a collective, you will be setting the future corporate strategy, working with agility and at pace. You will be a champion for the organisation’s members with a focus on developing a strong network of relationships in government, business, and the third sector to enable lobbying on behalf of our members, influencing appropriate audiences, and raising the profile of the organisation and sector.

You may come from outside of the housing sector, but you will need to demonstrate a relevant track record and be passionate about working hard and smart to make a meaningful impact. You will bring experience and maturity to the table with the ability to operate in an environment that is all about relationship building, influence, policy, and being a leading voice for housing in Scotland.

Members make a difference every day to lives and life chances; in this role you get to make the difference for members.
