In-house PR & Communications Manager

 

In-house PR & Comms Manager position within a dynamic and entrepreneurial VC / Accelerator company with its headquarters in London!

 

The company

 

A dynamic and entrepreneurial VC / Accelerator company with global presence and one of the exciting new corporate backed businesses to emerge in this space, is looking for an experienced PR Manager to join its global network of start-ups to help guide and advise not only my client, but their start-up companies too!.

 

As a company, My client focuses on investing in and growing new exciting start-ups across technology, Digital Media, Education, Beauty and online travel. Utilising their expertise from a team of 60 plus experts, they help act as an accelerator to these businesses to help them grow and reach their exit goals as quickly as possible.

 

The In-house PR Manager role

 

The PR Manager will play a crucial role in elevating the global visibility and credibility of this global brand, alongside an experienced and rapidly expanding marketing team.

 

You will:

 

    Take ownership of leading and executing the PR & Comms strategy not only for my client, but for their portfolio of start-ups.You will be responsible for leading the media relations strategy and building strong relationships with the relevant press as well as acting as the spokesperson and lead point in all media interactions.Enjoy the freedom to bring your own creative ideas to life, with the support of a network of PR agencies and the client's in-house marketing teamEstablish a network of contacts across the tech, business and consumer media to secure high profile coverage for exciting B2B and B2C campaignsManage the client's PR budget and have the autonomy to decide how best to utilise campaign spend across print and online channelsProvide sound guidance and counsel to the board and the portfolio's Board on external and internal comms in order to maximise engagement and productivity.

 

Key requirements for the in-house PR Manager:

 

  • You will have management level experience where you will have devised and executed PR & Comms strategy either in-house or within an agency.
  • You will have a strong B2B background with a passion for technology businesses in particular.
  • Strong media relations, crisis & corporate communications skills.
  • Previous experience in a PR agency or in-house environment brining stories to life, managing creative workshops and writing exceptional pieces.
  • Confidence leading high-profile integrated campaigns
  • Experience working with start-up businesses particularly within the tech market would be hugely advantageous
  • Naturally creative and a keen eye for a compelling story, with an entrepreneurial or start-up mindset.
