Director of Communications / Head of Communications - Healthcare in-house

£100-£200k (DOE) + shares + pension + package. We're seeking candidates who are looking for that next step in their career and want to take on the Head of role or Director position within a privately owned company that are pioneering ways to help people with mental health issues. Do you have a passion for mental health, and strong experience in the healthcare and or bioscience sector?

This is a newly created In-House position and one that you can shape and make your own. 

Our client is a pioneering life science organisation making groundbreaking innovative treatments that address significant unmet medical needs relating to the mental wellbeing of people all over the world. If you want to be part of this success story and give our client a voice in the market this is an excellent opportunity for a senior PR consultant who is looking for an exciting new challenge.

The Role:

• You will be digitally minded and be able to develop innovative thought-provoking digital and communication plans
• Create an external communications strategy.
• Act as lead public storyteller and spokesperson.
• Develop a PR strategy.
• Ensure you or your team have excellent relationships with journalists across the biotech, psychedelic, and business press.
• Work closely with the Creative team.
• Develop an internal communication strategy.
• Play a leadership role in the company.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of proven communications experience in the private sector, with a focus on biotech, healthcare, and ideally an emphasis on public affairs.
• Experience managing PR & communications for a publicly listed company.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver high impact strategic external communication plans.
• Strong media relations experience and relationships not only with traditional journalist but with podcast and social media talent
• Well versed in managing complex issues
• You will either be looking for the next step in your communications career or looking to join a company and make a role your own.
