Your communications will be second-to-none.
And your impact will be world-class.
Fast-evolving, unique and increasingly in the public eye, the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) offers the chance to join us at an exciting time in our development. While delivering the regulation of nuclear safety across the UK, we recognise the importance of engaging with our stakeholders to ensure safety and security is at the heart of all we do. As a Senior Communications Manager, you’ll work across the organisation and beyond to help ONR deliver its vision and strategic themes through a range of integrated campaigns. In return, we’ll give you every opportunity to build your skills and career. At ONR, we recognise that our prime asset is our people. We strive to support our team so everyone can make the most of their expertise.
With a proactive and strategic mind, you’ll deliver strategic communications activities to support priorities across the organisation. You’ll help deliver our stakeholder engagement strategy to build on our reputation, broaden our reach, and promote greater accessibility, transparency and two-way engagement. As part of this, you’ll also support the development of our digital engagement channels and help continuously improve our communications service. You will also deliver effective change communications to support our People Strategy and our modernisation programme.
A highly experienced communicator, you’ll have a proactive and strategic mindset. You’ll be experienced in delivering large-scale/high impact campaigns, and managing multiple channels. You’ll have an ability to craft clear, concise copy in Plain English for different audiences and experience in delivering and evaluating digital communications. You will be able to balance multiple priorities whilst meeting deadlines, with excellent team working and collaboration skills.
As part of ONR, you’ll enjoy a generous rewards package and opportunities to progress. In addition to a possible relocation package, we offer a competitive salary. Furthermore, you’ll be eligible for a Civil Service Pension with five weeks’ annual leave, rising by an extra day for every year worked (up to a maximum of six weeks).
