This energy tech company is on a mission to drive investment into clean / green energy. As a trading firm, they use their own in house technology to bring insights and data to investors and allow them to navigate the energy markets and create investments for a more sustainable future.

Currently team of 70 bright, ambitious people, and expanding quickly, with heavy investment into growing their PR and Communications team - having previously used an agency, they're looking to bring this function in house.

The PR Manager role

Reporting into the Head of PR and Communications and joining a division of five, the PR Manager will be responsible for owning and driving earned media coverage for the organisation, with the aim of positioning them as a thought leader in the renewable energy space.

The PR Manager will be responsible for:

  • Building relationships with journalists and influencers across national and trade media
  • Media monitoring and devising stories and angles that are relevant and newsworthy
  • Responding to incoming media enquiries and managing issues and crisis communications
  • Securing speaker opportunities for internal spokespeople, and preparing and training them in advance
  • Working with the Content Writer to create engaging, high quality media materials  

What they're looking for:

  • Approx 3-5 years' experience in a media relations / PR role (agency or in house)
  • Strong media contacts within national business and/or energy / tech trade media
  • A passion for purpose-led communications
  • The ability to both think strategically and roll up your sleeves to be hands on
