I have a rare opportunity for an experienced Associate Director with a passion for environmental causes to join a specialist purpose-led consultancy that is growing it's London team.

This agency has built its reputation on transformative campaigns on across a broad range of environmental issues, supporting NGOs, corporate entities, institutes and government agencies that are making a positive impact on climate change and the natural world. With a global portfolio of clients, it comprises an agile network of senior consultants based in offices across the world from the US to Europe, the Far East and beyond, working collaboratively on ground-breaking comms campaigns. On any given day you could be working on campaigns around climate change, clean energy, energy efficient buildings, nature conservancy, illegal wildlife trade, plant-based foods, sustainable land use and clean water and sanitation to name a few, so to apply for this Associate Director role you MUST be passionate about this world.

About the Associate Director role:

  • Senior level client servicing and client counsel for international client portfolio
  • Developing long-term media strategies and strategic communications plans for policy-oriented international issues & stakeholder environments
  • Project managing an international portfolio of retained accounts and strategic consultancy projects
  • Managing teams to deliver against tight deadlines and supporting the development of junior colleagues
  • Drafting press materials and overseeing the production of press materials from team members
  • Pitching feature stories proactively to media and responding to reactive enquiries
  • Overseeing the team on the delivery of detailed research pieces
  • Supporting Directors on new business pitch process

The ideal Associate Director:

  • 5+ years' experience in an integrated communications agency setting
  • Experience with team management
  • A strategic thinker who has experience setting and implementing multi-channel strategies
  • Demonstrable experience with topics such as climate change, the energy transition, biodiversity, sustainable development, and complex issues of this nature
  • Strong media handling experience (global an advantage but not necessary)
  • May speak multiple languages (not a requisite)

 What the Associate Director gets in return:

  • A salary of up to circa £65-85k, depending on experience
  • 25 days holiday excluding bank holidays
  • Potential for international travel in the future
  • Eligibility for Bonus Scheme
