PR Manager

At accuRx, we're on a mission to change lives by bringing patients and their healthcare teams together. Who are accuRx?

At accuRx, we’re building the first patient-centred communication platform. Our products help doctors, nurses, pharmacists, administrators, carers and anyone else involved in a patient's care to communicate easily with patients and with each other. We believe this will transform how healthcare is delivered, improving patient outcomes, improving staff morale and increasing the efficiency of health systems.

Our products have 98% adoption in GP practices and we are investing into other areas of healthcare (hospitals, pharmacies, care homes). By making messaging easier, we’re making more of medicine asynchronous, from simple consultations to getting advice from hospital specialists, saving time and making it easier for staff to communicate.

Although we’ve initially tackled the UK healthcare system, we have ambitions to improve healthcare systems across the world. You can view more about the impact we’ve had so far here

Life as a PR Manager at accuRx

accuRx has made a real impact in primary care and we’re now focused on growing in secondary care to connect everyone involved in a patient’s care. We’re looking for an experienced PR Manager to tell our story and the impact we’ve had on the NHS, shifting perceptions of technology in healthcare.

Reporting into the Head of Communications, the PR Manager will play a key role in driving awareness and trust of accuRx amongst secondary care, supporting policy initiatives and amplifying our employer brand to prospective talent.

As the first point of contact for all media enquiries, you’ll maintain and develop relationships with key journalists and publications and position accuRx as a thought leader. In more detail, your role will include:

  • Monitoring media on a daily basis, reporting coverage to the wider team and suggesting thought leadership opportunities
  • Building on new and existing press contacts, managing media requests and generating positive editorial coverage of accuRx as a thought leader
  • Owning PR tactics including proactive media outreach, media interviews, company and product announcements, submitting award opportunities and securing speaking engagements and podcast opportunities for our company spokespeople
  • Developing relevant data-led campaigns that support our policy initiatives
  • Executing and distributing campaigns, reports and white papers that will help to increase our reach, securing regular thought leadership articles and utilising company spokespeople and patient/user case studies
