Are you looking for a communications role where you can make a real difference?

We have an opportunity for an ambitious and creative communicator who is passionate about delivering innovative PR and marketing campaigns to join our high-achieving external communications team.

Working for one of the most exciting, progressive and largest police services in the UK, you’ll have the opportunity to develop your skills further and use your experience to engage the public in new and fresh ways.

You will work across the full communications mix, leading your own area of work and engaging closely with internal stakeholders and a range of external partners.

Creating and delivering campaigns on high profile issues such as Child Sexual Exploitation, Domestic Abuse and Serious Violence, your work will reach diverse audiences across the local area and beyond.

The successful candidate will join a small but influential team, working in a fast-paced and complex environment. Our department includes people with a range of professional backgrounds in journalism, marketing, digital communications, graphic design and PR.

To be considered for the role you’ll need to have;

  • Experience in a PR or communications role
  • A proven ability to develop and deliver high impact PR and marketing campaigns using traditional, digital and social media channels
  • Good writing skills and be a natural communicator
  • The ability to think quickly, under pressure
  • An ability to engage and inspire senior police leaders and partners.

Location of work;

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work from home. The role also necessitates you traveling around the force area when required. You will agree your specific working arrangements with your line manager.
