JFL are working on an exciting opportunity for a Senior Account Executive / Junior Account Manager to join a high-profile charity. This role is the ideal opportunity for a candidate who is passionate about the environment to join a leading organisation and work with some of the best-known public figures in the world.

There scope in this role to get stuck into key issues around sustainability, education, and the community. The role would suit a Senior Account Executive or Junior Account Manager looking for a dynamic in-house role working across press office activity, events, proactive media relations, and content creation.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating, managing, implementing and measuring PR communications activity
  • Managing Press and PR for projects that support the charity’s objectives and raise awareness of key messages and themes
  • Media relations, including handling media enquiries, sourcing pictures and place stories, and creating new opportunities using all media channels
  • Securing high-profile coverage and working with media partners and feeding through news stories and exclusive opportunities where appropriate
  • Managing press conferences and press trips
  • Building relationships with community groups, schools, judges, and relevant internal teams to develop case studies
  • Identifying and briefing key spokespeople for interview opportunities
  • Identifying potential issues and developing resources such as statements and reactive Q&As
  • Managing budgets, preparing budget recommendations, and evaluating ROI

Requirements:

  • Proven PR experience, ideally gained within an agency environment
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the media landscape
  • Understanding of how to generate positive publicity in national, consumer and specialist print, broadcast, and online media
  • Ability to work with a large and diverse number of stakeholders and building and maintaining positive relationships 
  • Ability to craft stories and a passion for the environment
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
