Job Details
My client is a hugely respected strategic creative consultancy whose heritage lies in stakeholder communications. In particular corporate reporting. However, corporate reporting has evolved to become far more stakeholder focused, especially around ESG and sustainability, and the increasing need for companies to identify what they stand for. Consequently the agency has moved much deeper into new, but related, areas including corporate comms, employee comms and engagement (developing employee value propositions), corporate branding, and narrative and purpose work.
As that growth continues it is looking to bolster its Insights team, which brings together strategic thinkers and industry experts with extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of corporate and sustainability communications. Currently they're keen to meet talented comms people anywhere between Senior Account Manager and the top end of Associate Director level.
This activity is very much at the strategic end of the comms spectrum, and will suit someone who wants to immerse themself in genuinely purposeful comms. The agency landscape is now littered with agencies saying they do ESG / purpose / sustainability work, when it's little more than a CSR campaign. Instead you will use your expertise to advise clients, working closely with them to understand their business challenges, develop impactful solutions that help them stand out from the crowd and deliver memorable communications that resonate with diverse stakeholder audiences.
A particular attraction for a comms person looking at the agency is that your skills are what the team is looking for due to this growth. Their excellence in corporate reporting means they have an enviously stable client base due to the retained nature of that work, and amazing access to the c-suite of major businesses. This has brought with it a great opportunity for the agency to hire stellar client counsellors who can grow clients organically through comms activity.
I would also stress this is a business which has developed a wonderful culture. It is well on the way to becoming a B-Corp and it's employee-owned status helps it see working life differently and purposefully. Collectively they are fully committed to responsible business that leaves a positive footprint for its clients, partners, communities and society.
