The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) is looking for a Communications Manager to join the London South Directorate sitting at the heart of their Business Centre delivering internal and external communications. If you are an ambitious and talented communications professional with experience of media handling, you will be a real asset to the team.
In the communications manager role, you will be responsible for delivering a range of activities to help raise the profile of the CPS in the London media, ensuring staff are aware and engaging in delivering CPS priorities and objectives. You will work closely with the national CPS press office on national media issues, be responsible for providing expert communications advice to senior managers and drafting messaging within your CPS London South Area.
We are looking for someone with excellent drafting skills, strong news judgement and can handle press stories in a professional, consistent, and timely manner. You should be confident in talking to senior leaders, journalists, lawyers, and the police with the ability to understand and translate complex issues quickly. You will be enthusiastic and creative in order to help drive forward digital communications looking at ways to promote the CPS.
