The Royal Docks is undergoing a profound and exciting transformation. Once London’s gateway to the world – today the area is re-emerging as a brilliant new business and visitor destination with thousands of new homes and jobs in development. Centre stage in the area’s regeneration is a bold ambition to be London’s cultural engine, a place renowned for creating and producing extraordinary cultural work.

Over the next few years, we will be delivering a significant cultural placemaking programme, which includes an ambitious arts and events programme, as well as the delivery of major new cultural infrastructure and visitor attractions that will help to put the area on London’s cultural map.

We have an exciting opportunity in our team for a first class marketing and communications professional to help us to tell this story and position the Royal Docks as an outstanding place to live, work and visit. You will be responsible for developing and delivering robust marketing campaigns, across the full marketing mix, which reach and engage new audiences as well as build the Royal Dock’s reputation as a major cultural destination.

You will need experience of campaign planning, strategy development, content and asset generation, audience analysis as well as reporting on performance and impact.  Good copywriting skills, an understanding of the design process, the delivery of social media and digital campaigns, and experience of partnership marketing is desirable.

This role will be based at City Hall, in the Royal Docks (Kamal Chunchie Way, London, E16 1ZE). GLA staff are hybrid working up to 3 days a week in our offices and remotely depending on their role. As part of this, you will need to split your time between home working and coming into the office.

We are committed to being an inclusive employer and we are happy to consider flexible working arrangements. We would welcome applications from candidates who are seeking part time work as this role is open to job share.

In addition to a good salary package, we offer an attractive range of benefits including 30 days’ annual leave, interest free season ticket loan, interest free bicycle loan and a career average pension scheme.

If you have a question about the role, please contact [email protected] or a question about the application process, please email [email protected] quoting reference GLA4077.
