Board Director/Deputy MD

Job Details

Our client, a mid-sized consultancy, part of a larger privately owned group, is looking for a successor or deputy to the CEO.  The senior team is excellent but no-one is quite ready to step up to the position of very senior director or deputy, hence our engagement.

The company has experienced substantial growth over the past six years and is set to double in size over a similar period.  With strength in corporate, healthcare, energy, sustainability and technology, the appointee will need relevant market knowledge, but proven expertise in building and sustaining client relationships is key.

You should have a strong consultancy track record and have operated successfully as a board director in a highly regarded communications consultancy for upwards of five years, with evidence of client growth – organic and new business, and if you’ve also worked client side at board level, that would be an added bonus.  What will single you out for this role is your passion for people management and a natural talent for leadership, as well as business acumen.  You would be given every support to transition into such a significant role, but the rarity value of the opportunity requires that only the most focused individuals apply.

The Foundry Directors have supported the communications industry for over 23 years, combining a high level of creativity with real application.

As well as strength in corporate and public affairs, consumer and brand PR and change and internal communications, we help companies hire at all levels from post-graduate trainees to Directors of Corporate Affairs and Managing Directors of consulting businesses.

We have built enduring relationships with our clients and candidates based on their trust and confidence in our ability to help them make the right decisions.

We have become long-term career mentors to large numbers of professionals, many of whom are pioneering specialists and business leaders, and have helped influence the culture and direction of our clients' businesses through the provision of industry insight and the location of great employees.
