London / hybrid (must be 3 days in London office)

 

 

 

Do you have the skills and experience to be a Global Head of Corporate Communications within the professional services environment?

 

 

 

Our client is seeking a seasoned communications professional with skills across external and internal comms, crisis and issues, social media and events; someone who is a functional expert in communications and who, as a member of the senior leadership team, can drive and deliver a global strategy that helps re-position and enhance the image and perception of the firm. This role requires a leader; someone with the ability to work well under pressure, is credible when providing strategic guidance and direction, and can manage complexity while creating and delivering practical solutions. Over time, the role will involve regular international travel.

 

 

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Create a communications narrative at the most senior level that positions the firm as a thought leader and influencer on relevant macro and micro economic, social, environmental and geopolitical issues. Build and lead a global corporate communications function and team that will differentiate the firm in its key markets Develop a communications strategy and associated comms plan around the firm’s key strategic priorities which will engage market influencers, as well as excite clients and prospects around the world Ensure Senior Management are positioned strategically in the marketplace and participate in the right conversations Protect the firm’s reputation through proactive crisis management, proactive engagement on key themes with key influencers, and positive messaging around the firm’s brand and market positioning Work with the Head of Content and Campaigns to ensure all communications across client-facing channels (website, social media and events) have maximum impact and support the firm’s key strategic objectives Monitor press stories across the globe relating to the firm and its brands, to maximise opportunities for positive messaging, while mitigating the negative Be a trusted advisor and provide objective and constructive advice on communications to the firm’s leadership – centrally, as well as in offices, practice groups and sectors. Ensure that both internal and external communications are aligned globally, support the firm’s strategy, are cohesive and well understood internally and externally. Proactively advise on and manage crisis PR and reputational issues with the PR Leads Provide direction for the management of supporting PR agencies Ensure that adequate systems are in place for monitoring and evaluating communications programmes

 

 

 

 

Key requirements

 

 

 

  • Highly experienced  professional who has driven the development of a Global corporate Communications strategy and deployed it both internally and externally
  • Subject matter expert in communications, with a strong background in corporate communications and reputation management
  • Significant global leadership experience in a communications role, with a track record of designing and implementing strategies that deliver results alongside strong media experience
  • A dynamic, data-driven strategic thinker, who is passionate about getting the right results that make a positive difference
  • Ability to be proactive, work at a fast pace, without compromising quality, in an ambiguous environment that is regularly changing
  • Able to use influencing skills to build consensus and credibility with stakeholders at all levels, and across different markets and cultures
  • Sophisticated knowledge of the issues affecting multinational businesses across sectors
  • Experience working across cultural boundaries and remote populations
  • Able to think creatively and find creative solutions, new and fresh ideas to improve internal communications' activities and impacts.
