Are you interested in driving improvement and leading change in communication and engagement of our staff and volunteers?  Want to be at the heart of building our inclusive, trusting culture, got a passion for developing communications and engagement capability?  Shelter is looking for an experienced internal communications and engagement leader to come and join our team in Equity, Inclusion and Culture.

About the team
The Internal Communications and Engagement team sits within the newly formed Equity, Inclusion and Culture (EIC) Directorate, formed to actively embrace diversity and inclusivity and ensure that everyone is safe to be themselves.  The team are integral to Shelter’s success, leading internal communications for multiple locations and functions dispersed across England and Scotland including our chain of shops.  The team is critical in helping our colleagues to take ownership of strategic plans, keep informed about what is happening and make sure that voices are heard and listened too.

About the role
This role is charged with continuing the journey that our internal communications and engagement team are on to deliver a comprehensive timely range of activities that gets Shelter’s strategic messages across in innovative and effective ways and builds the communications and engagement capability in the organisation. 

About you
If you are an inspiring story teller and influencer, have a depth of Internal Communications and Engagement leadership experience and a track record in developing communications and engagement approaches in your team and others and developing different channels to support communication and engagement we want to hear from you.
