Account Manager – Public Affairs

Fantastic new opportunity with an award-winning, fast growing communications consultancy, specialising in Public Affairs, Corporate Communications, Financial PR, Digital, Sustainability, and Campaigning.

  • Act as day-to day contact for clients to ensure smooth running
  • Take leadership and drive accounts forward
  • Lead on first drafts of documents for clients and adapt writing style for different audiences accordingly, e.g. politicians, civil servants etc
  • Provide advice and insight to clients
  • Coach and mentor juniors
  • Conduct parliamentary and policy monitoring and analysis
  • Monitor client news and identify opportunities for clients to engage with stakeholders
  • Own stakeholder relationship. Co-ordinate and review engagement plans, review policy and stakeholder briefing notes drafted by junior members
  • Actively participate in new business pitches. Oversee research for pitches and review findings to shape the answer. Contribute to the document creation process
  • Attend external networking events/ webinars directly relevant to clients



Essential skills and experience:

  • Strong working knowledge of Parliament, Government and UK political parties
  • Confident with parliamentary monitoring tools such as Hansard
  • A genuine interest in politics, current affairs and business
  • Excellent time management and high level of attention to detail
  • Strong writing and presenting skills
  • Demonstrable experience working in a fast-paced team

Desirable skills:

  • Experience in the infrastructure, FMCG, retail, technology, energy or financial services sectors
